Jon Einar holds an MSc in Geology from the University of Oslo. He has 33 years experience within the Norwegian and international oil industry. He has participated in nearly all licensing rounds on the NCS since 1982 and spent 1 year with Hydro/Conoco in Oklahoma in 1983 and 2½ years with Esso UK in London 1992-1994. As Chief Geophysicist in JSI (now Aker Kværner Geo) he worked as a consultant for Statoil for 5 years (1995-2000). In 2000 he started his own consulting company GeoSeis AS, and worked 2 years with Enterprise and 2 years with Gaz de France. In 2004 he was part of starting up Altinex Oil AS (now Noreco) as Chief Geophysicist and in 2007 part of starting up Skeie Energy AS as VP Exploration and Reservoir Technology.
